Adrian has 25 years’ experience working in, and leading high performance teams in both the public and private sectors.

Adrian started his career working as a police officer and close protection and counter terrorist operative. Drawing on this background he brings a unique perspective to clients, helping teams and individuals achieve their goals.

For five years, Adrian held the role of Programme Director at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, with responsibility for all global development courses for Associates and Partners. He has worked extensively across the globe with particular focus on the UAE.

Adrian has a specific interest in team dynamics and team performance, focussing on the authenticity of the team and the leader. He enjoys looking at the role of stress and pressure in the way a team or individual performs.

As a coach, Adrian tends to focus on self-limiting beliefs, confidence and transition.  He offers a style that is supportive yet challenging and draws on his deep understanding of what true shared responsibility and devolved leadership is in his coaching.

  • With a managing partner in a leading law firm – supporting her with the transition to senior leadership, defining her role and her relationships in the business.
  • With a senior female associate, struggling with self-limiting beliefs that were holding her back from fully committing to the process of partnership selection, looking at confidence, self-belief, presence and defining a clear business strategy.
  • With the main business acceptance unit of an international law firm, creating pathways for clearer communication, better understanding, and a clear direction of travel so that the unit could operate in a way to fully support the wider firm. This included helping to define new management structures, roles and responsibilities
  • Worked with Qatari Ministry of the Interior on 2022 world cup bid

Education and qualifications

  • Level 5 CIPD HR management
  • Level 7 Diploma in executive coaching and mentoring (ILM & EMCC)
  • Currently studying for a Masters in Business and Organisational Psychology.
