Mike and Rebecca met at EY when Mike was HR Director before moving into the Global Headquarters as Global Director of Executive Development and Rebecca was leading global change programmes as a Global Director at EY.

They have condensed their 75+ years of combined experience as practitioners and experienced professionals into their book which is crammed full of case studies and insights gleaned from their consulting work.

It is written for both the individual looking to reinvent retirement and also the heads of HR and Learning & Development looking to plan and properly manage the departures of senior individuals.

MIKE MISTER: Mike has spent the majority of his career in professional services, initially in the UK and then began the serious international part of his career when he joined Ernst & Young Global in their London Headquarters in 2002. Since that time, he has worked in professional services across the world in places as diverse as India, China, USA, Australia, Israel, CIS and across Europe and South Africa. He is currently a partner at leading management consultancy firm PSFI. As well as a Partner at PSFI, Mike is also an Honorary Professor in the School of Law, Queen Mary, University of London and Senior Fellow in the Human Capital Practice of The Conference Board. He co-authored the best-selling business book, How to Lead Smart People.

REBECCA HILL: After 25 years working predominantly in international professional services organisations leading global change programmes latterly as a Global Director at EY, Rebecca is now firmly embedded in the entrepreneurial space having successfully launched several businesses. She is currently crafting her portfolio career. Through her company, Wise Sherpa, Rebecca is collaborating with a number of Start Ups, Scale Ups, and SMEs as well as working with more established businesses as a consultant, thinking partner, facilitator, and coach working across geographies and cultures.
