Clayton has more than 20 years’ experience in leadership development, business development and account management. He is an executive coach and has worked with diverse, global clients across multiple industries and sectors.
Beginning his leadership experience at Euromoney Institutional Investor (memberships for fixed income, equity trading and financial technology execs), Clayton went on to join The Conference Board, where he assisted in the creation of C-suite roundtables on corporate governance, M&A, and public-private partnerships.
In the executive education divisions of Columbia Business School and UCLA, he has had complete oversight of over 100 corporate learning programs in leadership and strategy for firms from over 15 countries and across many industries, including for many leading professional service and law firms.
As an executive coach, Clayton has assisted senior level executives across multiple industries both prepare for, and improve and excel in their role. In addition to supporting those beginning a new leadership role, he has helped existing leaders grow in confidence and poise, develop influencing skills through relationship-building and expanding their network and aided those adjusting to challenging personalities or overcoming career setbacks.
Clayton has also held prominent advisory and volunteer roles with the United Nations Global Compact and Columbia University, and has provided pro-bono coaching for downsized government employees.
