PSFI strengthens leadership practice with the addition of former Shoosmiths’ Chair, Peter Duff

Peter Duff is joining leadership consultancy PSFI as a Principal Consultant, working in the leadership and also talent practices. Peter is well known to PSFI, having been instrumental in the setting up of the Firm’s first forum for Senior Partners six years ago.

Peter has been a Board member at Shoosmiths LLP for the last 18 years and spent nine of those as Chair, helping lead the Firm through a significant transformation from a regional to a highly successful national firm.

As Chair at Shoosmiths, Peter handled a number of strategic and governance reviews involving significant changes in the governance structures, and the appointing of a COO and the introduction of NEDs. He adeptly handled the transition and election of three CEO’s which included the sudden departure of one and the contested election of another.

Peter also excels at developing the next generation of leaders. Through mentoring, designing, developing, or conducting talent development programs for firms, he ensures a legacy of success.

Peter helped set up and run PSFI’s first Senior Partner forum, an inclusive network of Senior Partners and Chairs. It is a community where those holding similar roles can share experiences, gain new perspectives and discuss the challenges they are facing. PSFI now runs eight fora for almost 100 senior partners, COO’s, heads of L&D and HRDs.

Peter is the latest in a number of high profile joiners which include Matthew Fuller (former Head of Business Development at White & Case), Jason Haines (former COO at Allen & Overy), Kevin Hogarth (former UK Chief People Officer at KPMG), Jonny Tapnack (former Director and Learning Lead at EY) and Julie Morrison (former partner at EY).
